Donna Keay

Donna Keay designs and handcrafts all of her jewellery in her workshop in Scotland. Her work is inspired by historical jewellery, antique books and gold-tooled book-cover patterns, the theme of memory and archaeological finds. Etching allows fragments of historical pattern or text to be reproduced on the metal. Combining etched panels with simple outlines, she aims to translate these themes into contemporary, wearable jewellery.

Donna works primarily in silver, frequently combining it with freshwater pearls and semi-precious gemstones.

Donna is a Member of the Association of Contemporary Jewellery.
